Hello,

We are Conk and Will, two acting graduates who have abandoned acting to join the metaphorical circus.

We run Smelling Good Productions and have put on shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney and Melbourne Fringe Festivals and run the groundbreaking comedy improv podcast Friend of the Pod.

We are furthering our studies by going to France in July 2023 to study with Phillippe Gaulier.

Look at this fun quote from his Wikipedia page "Gaulier's methodology of teaching is designed to allow the student to develop their own beauty and the pleasure of being on stage. For example, with the clown, he helps students uncover their own clown. There are philosophical principles involved, but his training is not mired in technicalities. "I don't teach a special style; what I teach more is a wonderful spirit. People have to develop a way of being beautiful and surprising." By beauty, he means "anyone in the grip of pleasure or freedom"."

Gaulier alums include Sacha Baron Cohen, Emma Thompson, Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Walker, Josh Glanc and Jeromaia Detto.

So yeah, that guy teaching us to be silly for a month.

Any money offered will significantly help our chances of survival while in France. Fees for the course, accommodation, flights, passports, food, rent back home, and any other necessities that pop up.

But genuinely, we are incredibly excited for this. Any performers we have seen that have gone through Gaulier have blown us away, and we can't wait to learn and grow from this experience. Any assistance to help us is so greatly appreciated, and we can't thank you enough. xx oui oui
