Help a new writer/director make his dreams come true!
Will You Be My Archnemesis? And Other Super Short Stories is a new play by Joseph Mann debuting in NYC this summer and we need your help!
This play follows a diverse group of superheroes as they deal with the “human” aspects of being “superhuman”. Through a collection of vignettes and short stories, we get a glimpse into the world of heroes and villains, after the day is saved and after the cameras are off. After an epic battle, a hero and a villain argue about exclusivity. A new vigilante struggles with his name on his first night out. A group of sidekicks question their purpose. Using multimedia elements and inspired by the stories and the visuals of comics from the 60’s and 70’s, Will You Be My Archnemesis? And Other Super Short Stories showcases superheroes in a way we’re not used to seeing them: vulnerable and on stage.
In order to bring this vision to life on a New York City stage, we need your help. All funding raised will go directly to cutting the cost of rehearsal space, creating a beautiful set, assembling costume elements, allowing us to perform at IRT Theater, and many other countless aspects that are necessary to get this play on it’s feet. Your donation will help us in so many ways, and we are eternally grateful for anything you are able to offer.
Will You Be My Archnemesis? And Other Super Short Stories is premiering at IRT Theater in New York City from June 19th - 22nd as a part of their 3B Development Series.
