Will Spain and Family Recovery Help

Donation protected
On October 2nd 2018, Will awoke very sick, confused, and nearly incoherent. Thinking we were dealing with another aggressively low blood sugar resulting from his diabetes we tried to treat his symptoms in the usual way.

But this time Will didn't respond and became violently ill and completely unable to communicate with us. An ambulance was called and we began an endless ordeal of test after medical test to try and find out the source of this sudden dangerous turn in his health.

After transferring to another better equipped hospital Will remained sedated on a ventilator tube, unresponsive for several days. After lengthy treatment to restore his body's chemistry to non-life threatening levels the doctor settled upon a diagnosis of Addison's disease.

Will is slowly beginning to recover now but will require ongoing possibly lifelong treatment for Addison's as well as type 1 diabetes. We as a family are facing some difficult challenges as a result but thankfully so in that losing him would have been an unbearable one.

Reluctantly we have to admit that we could use a little help to get us back on our feet due to missing work and medical expenses. We would have given up everything to keep Will though.

For the many many people that stopped by, called, messaged us, and posted online we are overwhelmed with your love and support. You helped save all our lives this past week.
