My dear friends, Will and Sherise Kubalanza, lost almost everything in a condo fire on May 8, 2025 that started in their neighbor's unit.

They do have insurance, but the repairs are allegedly going to take up to a year because of the extensive water and smoke damage, and the amount of coverage for temporary housing is not nearly enough to cover rent at a new place for 12 months.

They also need immediate assistance to help pay their weekly hotel costs until they are able to locate a temporary living situation.

Some of their personal belongings, like clothes and shoes, were salvageable, but it will be at least a week before they get them back from the cleaning company.
