Will Russ Jr., RECOVERY FUND

UPDATE!!!!

We now have an ADDITIONAL REASON for this GoFundME.

William Russ Jr. had to undergo LIFESAVING EMERGENCY SURGERY at a hospital in DETROIT last Monday. He has been resting and sleeping since the surgery (with his mother by his side).

Will won't be able to return to Germany as planned and honor his gig commitments there $$$...and the gig in California has been RESCHEDULED per his wishes to do this REUNION SHOW!

We all need things to look forward to. This is now a medical fund to help Will stay on top while he recovers. Any amount is appreciated...and please send Will your prayers and love.

The RESCHEDULED SHOW DATE is January 31, 2024.

THE GOOD NEWS IS...I have secured a date at the Club Fox Blues Jam in Redwood City, CA. (DECEMBER 6, 2023 / Doors 6:30 / Show 7p) for a long anticipated REUNION CONCERT by the FORCE OF WILL BAND headed by William Russ Jr. (former Bay Area resident vocalist) and his incredible band...Ron E. Beck (drums), Ted "Blyss" Gould (bass), Bill Hampton (guitar) & Colin Hogan (keys)!!!!

As many of you know, Will Russ Jr. moved to Germany in 2017. Will and his FORCE OF WILL BAND were a favorite here in the greater San Francisco Bay Area and anyone who has heard Will sing will tell how much they miss that velvety smooth voice and his stellar band! As luck would have it...Will is going to be visiting family in Detroit for the month of December. I shared an old post of Will performing with his band on Facebook...and there was a lot of interest in a possible reunion show here. I called him and we discussed the idea. Will was ALL IN!! Now...I had to secure a venue...the universe cooperated (as did Vince Caminiti & Charley Lochtefeld of Club Fox) and a date that had been reserved for a private event cancelled! THE DATE IS NOW OURS!!! Will contacted his former bandmates who all still live in the Bay Area, as well as his bass player Blyss Gould who now lives in New Orleans!

THEY WERE ALL IN TOO!

I reached to one of our wonderful music community members....and they are willing to host Will at their place while he is in town. The pieces are all starting to come together.

NOW...here is where WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!! Obviously, buying tickets to the show will be great (I anticipate a SELL OUT!), and we have already gotten some sponsors for the gig itself...TNT Collaboration (Todd Chandler & myself) as well as our beautiful friend and huge music community supporter Heidi Hoffman. BUT!!! We need to RAISE MONEY FOR ROUND TRIP AIRFARE for Will form DETROIT and for Blyss form NEW ORLEANS (it's already November and air fare prices are sky rocketing so TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!!). If we can't get them here...all of this will have been for nothing!

I know things are tight for many of us...but, any small contribution will help! And think of all the joy it will bring to once again have this amazing band back together in the Bay Area for one night only. The band is really looking forward to it as well. If you are a fan...PLEASE HELP ME MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!
