In March 2026, we (Will and George) will be running the Barcelona Marathon to raise money for Medical Action Myanmar (MAM) — an extraordinary charity providing lifesaving medical care to more than two million people every year.

In Myanmar, routine access to healthcare simply doesn’t exist for huge parts of the population. For many of the poorest and most vulnerable communities, MAM is the difference between life and death. They deliver essential treatments, medicines, and care directly to people who would otherwise go without.

Every pound, euro, or dollar raised goes straight to the ground in Myanmar — not to executives in offices thousands of miles away. Donations fund vital treatments, essential drugs, and the wages of frontline health workers. MAM also trains and supports over 2,000 village health workers each year, equipping them with diagnostic skills and treatments that ripple through entire communities.

Our connection to MAM is deeply personal. Our mum has dedicated years of her life to the organisation since its inception — fundraising internationally and travelling to Myanmar several times a year to train counsellors. We are incredibly proud of her work and commitment.

This race also carries special meaning for us following the recent death of our beloved uncle, Professor Sir Nicholas White. He dedicated his life to fighting some of humanity’s deadliest diseases, particularly in Southeast Asia, and served on MAM’s board. Running this marathon is our small way of honouring his legacy and continuing the work he believed in so deeply.

You’ll be helping deliver real healthcare to people who desperately need it, while supporting two blokes in their 30s with questionable hairlines, questionable judgment, and a very good reason to run a marathon. Thank you so much for your support.
