We are Will and Brad, we are childhood friends who have decided to raise money for two charities by walking across Scotland in 3 days. The charities we decided on were Breast & Pancreatic Cancer Research. We have the ambitious goal of raising £500 which we plan to split equally per charity.
- Our £500 Goal has been achieved thank you very much! Our next goal is for £1,000 once again thank you everyone who has donated so far!!!
- We are so proud to announce that we have reached our second goal of £1,000! Thank you all who donated this is an incredible achievement. Our next ambitious goal we have set is for £1,500!
- Astonishingly we have hit our ambitious goal of £1,500! We cannot thank all who have donated enough, its simply incredible that we have been able to raise this amount. Our next big goal is for £2,000!
About us:
Will
I was first affected by Breast Cancer because of my mother, who unfortunately was diagnosed with Breast Cancer a number of years ago. Throughout the years she has battled through the worst of it but has always fought on. Although still having Breast cancer she has always been very brave and strong, to this day she still works and carry's on as normal. This has made me incredibly proud of my mum and a driving factor of wanting to raise money and push myself like she has for so many years.
Brad
My uncle was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in March 2020. He took every round of treatment offered to him and never once complained about it. Despite all the treatment we had found out the cancer had spread in 2021 and unfortunately lost his battle and passed away on the 10th of January 2022 at the Age of 62. Our family have continued to raise funds for this cause and I feel like this would be a great opportunity to push myself and to get out of my comfort zone all while raising money in his memory.
The Plan:
We plan to hike and camp from Bowling on the Friday morning of the 23rd of February, all the way to the Edinburgh Coast by the following Sunday. Throughout this journey we will be documenting our progress through videos and pictures.
Upon setting off from Bowling on the first day we plan to hike to Carron Valley Reservoir and camp. Afterwards we will join on the The Union and Forth & Clyde Canal until we reach Edinburgh.
