Born in Egypt, these two boys knew nothing other than fear, pain and despair at the hands of their owners. Little Bear was heard screaming frantically in the street whilst his owner tried to slaughter him with a knife. Mercifully his execution was stopped by good samaritans and he was taken to a known rescuer and her vet to save his life.

Poor Will was starved, beaten and eaten alive by parasites, his suffering was long and painful and his life was full of despair. He was found in an emaciated state, drinking from a filthy puddle. When given food by his rescuer, he promptly vomited up a plastic bag, which was all he had clearly eaten in days.

Their rescuer is a kind and well meaning person, but she has hundreds of un-neutered dogs living in less than ideal conditions with no chance of adoption or a better life. Attacks from frustrated dogs competing to mate or for food, and just a square of ground to sleep on is unfortunately common, and tragically mutilation and deaths occur regularly.

I am a canine behaviourist and passionate about rescuing animals from the UK and anywhere my help is needed. Mercy has no borders.

I have run a small rescue from my home in Bedfordshire, UK - Part of the Family Dog Rescue - for the past 10 years. I saw the plight of these two boys on Facebook and messaged their rescuer offering my financial support for their treatment and care and a home for both when well enough to travel.

Over the past few months, I have been sending money for their care. They are now well enough to travel and have been castrated and vaccinated. I now need to raise money for blood tests, health certificates, flights and customs agent costs at Heathrow with an estimated cost of £2,000.

These gentle boys have never given up hope but they need your help to get them to the good life they never dared dream of, but truly deserve.
