Well friends...... For those who know me and those who don't, I have worked for decades as a hi-tech Rock and Roll road crew person for many high profile professional keyboardists, as well as a recording engineer/ producer/ factotum. Doing R&R shows and moving gear for 35+ years has really done a job on my lower back, herniating several disks requiring multiple surgeries.......

Recently, I have had to undergo a second, more radical posterior back surgery as the first AILF invasive surgery was not able to achieve the desired results I had hoped. In my AILF surgery, my neurosurgeon inserted a titanium disk to replace the lowest disk in my spine although the intention was to replace the one above it. I now have rods, plates and screws on my lumbar vertebrae. As of this posting, it is now twelve weeks since the surgery and I must tell you that it is still excruciatingly painful, at times beyond description, much like having a couple of hot butter knives implanted in my back. There is still a great deal of swelling and I have had to fend off a couple of bouts with infection, treated high power antibiotics. I have had to return to the hospital twice to have fluid buildup surgically removed. Besides the pain, I have to continually deal with with disturbed sleep, night sweats and wild temperature swings, not to mention the medications I have to take for pain and sleep. I am still unable to lift anything over a few pounds, much-the-less return to work. My neurosurgeon has told me that it might take up to a year for a complete recovery.......... YIKES!!!!

From lifting this.........

As this is my second plea for assistance this year, I really appreciate all of you who have contributed already so I am asking for a second contribution from many of you, as well as a first from the rest of you. Again, I will judiciously use all contributions for necessity. I won't be taking any vacations to the Bahamas or the Seyschelles.
Thank you for your kind consideration,
Will Alexander
