I've been approached by a number of friends that want to show their support for the Wilkshire's so I've created this page for anyone who wants to offer them well wishes or a helping hand as they navigate the unknowns ahead.

I think most of you know that about a month ago Janine was told she had a large tumour on/around her thyroid. Within just over a week she was admitted to VGH to have that, her thyroid and some lymph nodes removed. Due to some complications from her surgery she has had some delays in her recovery resulting in a 2nd surgery and a longer stay than expected. Unfortunately it appears that surgery wasn't successful and she will be going for a 3rd surgery in the days to come. During this time she has had to stay at VGH and Gareth has had to take an undetermined amount of time off of work to care for both Janine and the girls. Its my hope that a little helping hand will ease that added pressure of missed work and daily travel expenses so they can focus on what's most important, Janine's recovery. Once home, she will need to recover from these surgeries as well as most likely have additional treatments before she will be able to work again. I know they would never ask for help but would be the first to offer it if any of us needed it. So let's join together and show the Wilkshire's how much we love them and how many people have their backs as they face the challenges ahead!
