Wildlings Playgroup

Hi. My name is Abbie and I have a background in Early Years Education. Last year I opened an outdoor setting called Wildlings which caters for Children (aged 0-7yrs) and their families.

At Wildlings we strive to create a happy, stimulating and safe environment where children can grow and learn at their own pace.

Unfortunately, Wildlings was burgled and vandalised almost two weeks ago. Four males entered the site during the Early hours of the morning and stayed there for almost an hour. They sliced their way into the indoor area which is a large Yurt where Children and families can shelter and choose to play ‘indoors’ in colder months. The males entered through the slit which was from the bottom to the top of the 5M yurt and they took most of the matting, cushions, blankets and some activities / resources. They also damaged the log fire which was on its side - the chute broken , and they took all firewood, fire lighters and lighters from the premises.

I would like to start a GoFundMe page after receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from the community. This page was not something I had initially thought of but almost two weeks later I am still asked if there is somewhere to donate and help.

With any money raised I plan to replenish the comforts of our indoor area to once again create an inviting and relaxing space where families can play, read and keep warm. I also plan to rent a nearby storage area where any valuables can be locked locked away when necessary - creating that extra level of security.

Wildlings is always locked up at night and after only 6M of being open, this was devastating. As hard as this has been , it will not define Wildlings and I aim to bounce back stronger than ever.
