Bunny Hop Hill Rescue
Donation protected
My name is Nancy Vergara and I am a licensed wildlife rehabilitator in Western North Carolina. I provide medical care for injured and orphaned Eastern Cottontail Rabbits. My goal and passion is to rehabilitate these animals so they can be released back into the wild.

In 2021 I cared for 330 rabbits, of all ages and sizes. Many came in as orphaned, or with injuries due to domestic animal attacks or collision with cars or lawn equipment.

TO RELEASE:

Rehabilitators in Western North Carolina receive no funding from the state and therefore are dependent on donations to cover the costs of gas, medicine, food, wildlife formula, and medical equipment. This year, I would like to purchase an oxygen chamber which will help treat bunnies with head trauma. I love my work, but it can be a very expensive and financial burden.
Baby bunny season in Western North Carolina can start as early as March, so I would love to get a head start on the equipment and supplies needed. Please help me care for our wildlife. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. This will be an ongoing campaign, since I will be needed these supplies every year. Every dollar goes a long way in helping get these bunnies back into the wild!!
Yearly Expenses:
$400 Formula
$500 Medicine & Supplies
$1,000 Greens and Veggies
