Hello everyone!!! My name is Shadow and I live on an off grid island in Widgeon, along the great Pitt River, Canada.

I started building my floating island home 17 years ago from salvaged materials and have developed most of my own technologies along the way to ensure I leave as little impact on the environment as I possibly can.

My passion lies with nature. During my time here, I have made it my life's work to care for, rehabilitate and conserve our delicate and diverse natural habitats and wildlife from poachers, pollution and politics. Our natural reserves are precious to all our futures, and I have watched its gradual decline over time.

With a little extra funding, I will be able to fast track my ideas and bring them to reality, all the while documenting progress online so you can all see exactly how your support funds are being utilised. I will also be posting DIY videos on my YouTube channel to support those willing to make a difference in their own back yards using everyday things you can find laying around! I will also feature updates on wildlife care where applicable.

I am so excited to work with you all and represent your intentions right here in Widgeon, and hopefully inspire more people to take part in protecting our most valuable assets - our natural environment! The smallest change will make a massive difference, and you will be as much a part of its survival as I am.
