Wildheart Classroom Tipi Fundraiser || Bend, OR
Our school is raising funds for a weatherproof outdoor classroom tipi for our new KinderCamp program. Wildheart KinderCamp is a new outdoor school founded by Tess Vining and Amara Dreamer, offering experiential outdoor learning on a working farm. Our nature-based school program blends Waldorf arts curriculum with traditional Kindergarten, led by a certified Waldorf Teacher.
Our classroom space is a weatherproof, heated tipi in an enclosed meadow, situated between a cow pasture, garden and large pond. We will learn and play amongst wild-growth meadows, woodland trails, meandering streams, and farm animals.
What makes us different?
Wildheart KinderCamp weaves in hands-on holistic education with traditional academics and meaningful work around the farm. Valuing the arts, time in nature and a well-rounded childhood, Wildheart aims to bring healing, intentional education to children during these unprecedented times.
Campers will explore the arts of – Animal husbandry – Watercolor painting – Beeswax modeling – Bread making – Letter learning – Storytelling – Wild-crafting edible and medicinal plants – Food preservation – Wool handwork – Journaling – Book binding – Bee keeping – Mindfulness and sensory awareness – Lessons in environmental stewardship
Our mission is to support the child’s curiosity and love of learning, while guiding their connection to nature, community, and inner resilience.
