Wildfire Relief for Lauren, Justin & Judy Chicago

Hi Everyone.

I'm writing this on behalf of my dear friends Lauren Frost and Justin Hulsey who, along with their lovable floof of a dog, Judy Chicago, were forced to evacuate their house last Tuesday due to the Eaton Wildfire with only the clothes they were wearing and a few possessions. Since then, they have been moving from location to location waiting to hear about the status of the home that they love so much.

I've been friends with these two for over ten years and to know Lauren and Justin is to love them. Their friends are their family. Their house is their heart. They have opened their home to us in celebration of our triumphs and given us a soft place to land when we needed it in times of sadness. They are hard-working, enormously talented and creative people who laugh loudly, give freely, and make the lives of everyone they meet better. They are the type of people who will give you the shirt off their backs (in Justin's case, a black one) and never ask for it back. Well, now it's our turn to repay the favor.

Last night Lauren and Justin were able to confirm that by some unbelievable stroke of luck their house is still standing, however after inspecting the damage and speaking with the insurance company they have learned that it will be a minimum of two months before they will be able to return to their house. They are also not allowed to remove any textiles (ex. clothing) from the premises for fear of kicking up toxic contaminants. That's where this go fund me comes in. It will help cover the cost of temporary pet friendly housing, clothing, toiletries, food, etc.

Please know how hard it is for Lauren and Justin to be asking for help...in fact, they hate it (that's why I'm doing it for them), but I think that we can all agree they are the absolute best and deserving of anything we can give them. No amount is too small (pennies, nickels, dimes, they'll take them all!). Whatever it is, they are so appreciative of your love and support.

They also wanted me to note that any amount of money they receive that is not used will then be donated to help with the rebuilding of Altadena...because Lauren and Justin are pay it forward kinda folks...another reason we love them.
