Saving Wilden

If you know me, you know my sheltie Wilden is my absolute world. He’s been by my side the last 5 years and I can’t imagine a day without him. On January 3rd, the vet found a large mass over his heart, and after further testing, determined he has stage 3 mediastinal lymphoma and isn’t going to make it very long without immediate intensive treatment.

My heart is shattered. Anyone who’s met Wilden knows he’s the most gentle, loving, unique and loyal dog who gives the best kisses. Wilden never complains, or begs and always leads the pack. He’s the biggest mommas boy and is always by my side. His heart is sweet and protective – he’s my best friend and was hospitalized this week. I could really use the support from anyone & everyone as I budget for his upcoming chemo treatments, medications, extra care and fluids, which will cost roughly $11,000, more than I can afford.

Wilden is only 5 years old and deserves more play time on this earth. If you can help out, I’d appreciate it more than anything. I know most of you haven’t gotten the chance to meet him in person but losing my companion is unimaginable. I want to be able to give my boy the best care possible while making him as comfortable as I can, which will include weekly treatments and medication. Any help at all to keep my boy with me is all that I ask. Thank you!
