Wild Wings (Abergavenny bird rescue)

My name is Daisy, and I am passionate about wildlife and all animals that are in need of help and rehabilitation. 15 years ago I volunteered at City Wildlife in Newport, where I fostered a variety of wildlife which includes hedgehogs and predominantly birds. During my time there my passion for helping and saving wildlife immensely grew, as did my knowledge and experience. Unfortunately due to personal circumstances I had to stop rehabilitating. I have however offered help and guidance since. Due to my past success, I am still a recognised foster within my hometown of Abergavenny and the surrounding area; specifically specialising in wild birds. Thanks to the caring public on social media who have located these animals, and have used myself as a primary contact. I currently have an increasing number of calls that require my help, and fortunately I have now been offered another location for a new aviary for adult/injured birds. But as a single mother of 3 children, I am under a lot of pressure to fund my rehabilitation tasks within my personal home and I am lacking funds to keep this ongoing. This includes travel to collect animals in need, as well as veterinary attention, bird cages, food and general supplies. Plus a new aviary. Im currently unable to take in fledgling song/garden birds but others such as pigeons and adult birds are fine. Thank you for reading, and I appreciate all of your help.
