Wild Winds Buffalo Preserve Fire Fund
On Thursday morning, July 9, 2020, the hay barn and stable at wild Winds Buffalo Preserve were destroyed by fire. The losses are staggering: 700 round bales of hay, the round baler, three tractors and a skid loader and the structure. Replacing the equipment to bale hay is a priority as this is prime hay season.
Wild Winds is an endeavor, a labor of love, dedicated to preserving and returning bison to the land. The herd of 200 plus calves graze on 400 acres of pasture. 250 acres of hay are baled to sustain them through the winter.
You can help Wild Winds by donating or purchasing meat directly from Wild Winds Buffalo Preserve.
