Wild West Route for the Crisis Center
Tax deductible
Beginning July 12th - Adam Westfall, Ian Ross, Thomas Gordan, Willis Wood, and Reed Whetstone will bike unsupported from the Canadian border to the Mexican border, covering a distance of 2,700 miles with a total of 185,000 feet elevation gain. We are supremely fortunate for the privilege to undergo such a trip during these trying times and we want to give back.
We are asking folks to donate 1-10 cents per mile of our trip (or add a custom amount) to go towards the Crisis Center of Birmingham, Alabama.
The Crisis Center does amazing work for the Birmingham community; The Crisis Center offers crisis intervention and prevention, sexual assault services, and mental health services. With the monumental hurdles that many Americans face on a daily basis, the Crisis Center is a powerful resource doing its part in our home community. Now more than ever our neighbors are experiencing anxiety and depression, isolation, unhealthy coping mechanisms, job insecurity or loss, suicidal thoughts, and other health concerns. Since the beginning of March, the crisis center call volume has increased 50%. They are available 24/7, 365 days a year but can only continue to do so with your help. Please consider helping however you can, all proceeds will go directly to the Crisis Center.
Our friend and the president of the Board of Directors of the Crisis Center, David Bernard encourages you to be aware of the mental health needs resulting from the isolation and fear caused by this pandemic and support the organizations working to address these challenges.

Feel free to follow our progress on July 12th as this journey across America begins in Glacier, Montana.
