PS7 Elementary School is WILD about reading! We are so excited to be two weeks away from our annual Literacy Week and Book Fair. PS7 Elementary School is a public, high-performing charter school operated by St. Hope Public Schools. All St. Hope Public Schools are focused on getting our scholars to and through a four year college. We are in the Sacramento City Unified School District and are a Title 1 school. As a Title 1 school, we serve a traditionally underserved population and work with many families that are economically disadvantaged.
We spend so much time reading all kinds of books at school. I have seen so many scholars fall in love with reading and we would love to see this passion turn into a lifelong hobby. It is difficult for some of our scholars to be able to read at home because they do not have any books of their own and do not have the funds to purchase books during our upcoming book fair. Because of that, Ms. Jelcz, Ms. Kauffroath, and Ms. Ezero are raising money for those scholars to be able to pick out and purchase their very own books this year!
Our goal is to raise $1,500 by March 4th so that we will be able to make coupons that scholars will bring to the book fair on March 5th and use to purchase books of their choosing. We are so excited to see their smiling faces when they get to choose whichever book they are interested in. We so appreciate you taking the time to learn about our school and help support our amazing scholars!
