Hello, my name is Wilcca Goldstone. I am 16 years old and I am raising money for a study abroad expedition program! I've been accepted into the Ecuador Semester run by the non-profit Kroka Expedition School, located in Marlow, NH (More info here Kroka Expeditions).

This program is not like many other study abroad programs; it is a hands-on expedition through the Ecuadorian Andes and down into the Amazon Rainforest. I was born in the Peruvian Andes and am very exited to go back and learn more of the culture. Through this three-month program, I will learn truly life-changing lessons, ranging from deeply learning the cultures of the area, such as the indigenous village of San Clemente. I will learn Humanities, Natural Science, Adventure Leadership Education, and Adventure Sports. All of these will count towards my high school graduation and allow me to graduate early with a full diploma right after this program.

This program will also open up many post-high school options for me, such as Warren Wilson College, which offers preferential acceptance to Kroka graduates that are recommended to them, as well as max scholarship preference. This, alongside many other colleges working with Kroka, and Kroka's own post-semester programs, offer me many opportunities to pursue a naturalist lifestyle and education.

As you can imagine, this isn't cheap, and I don't come from money, so I am here requesting money to help. The total cost of tuition and other fees, such as travel, comes to $10,000 for the one semester. I am currently enrolled in high school and work 4-7 days a week, depending on scheduling to do my best to make this work. I am able to put in $4,000. It would truly mean the world to me if you could donate anything to this and help me attend this life-changing program. Thank you!
