Hi, my name is Adam, and I am fundraising for Wigan & Leigh Hospice and the Cancer Council Australia, with 50% of what I raise going to each.

I lost my mum to cancer on 18th April 2017, with the last part of her life spent in Wigan & Leigh Hospice. The people that worked there not only cared for my mum, but also my family during this time. What they do for the patients and the family members is nothing short of incredible. The care and love they provided for us all during this time, I wouldn't say made it easier, but it definitely wasn't as hard as it could have been without them.

Since my mum passed I have thought about ways in which I could do something to raise money to give back to them so they can continue to help people and their families going through what we did back then. I have always come up with the excuse that I am too busy, or I can't think of what to do.

So, I have decided that I will aim run 250km from 8th September to 8th October. I know it may not sound like the greatest of achievements, but anyone that knows me, will probably be thinking I am not in the greatest of shapes at the moment to be able to do this.

Any donations, however small they may be, will be greatly appreciated.

The majority of the running I will be doing at Rosehill Racecourse, and my good friend Sophie Baker will be keeping track of the kms done each day.

I will be aiming to complete this on 8th October, and anyone that would like to join me on the final lap will be more than welcome.
