This Friday, I’ll be cutting my hair to donate it to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides free, real-hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment or other conditions.
I’ve been growing my hair for a while waiting until it was long enough to donate – and it’s finally time!
While hair donations are incredibly valuable, it actually costs the charity a lot of money to make (about £550 to make a wig, and up to £700 to fit and style). That’s why I’m also fundraising – to help cover the cost of turning my hair into a wig that will help someone feel more confident and supported during a difficult time.
The Little Princess Trust helps over 2,000 children every year, and every donation goes directly toward giving them “Hair and Hope” – and even funding research into kinder treatments for childhood cancers: https://www.littleprincesses.org.uk/research-and-grants
If you can spare anything at all, I’d be so grateful
disclaimer: I don’t have a recent pic of my hair and the one I used was fresh out of the hairdresser 2 years ago (my hair still looks good, just not this perfect )
