WiFi for the Most Vulnerable Students

Donation protected
Daniel Boone Elementary is an extraordinary public school on Chicago's far North Side. Of the approximately 800 pre-k through 8th grade students, more than 80% live in poverty. The student body speaks more than 35 home languages and the school community is fortunate that the staff reflects the student body.

At the beginning of this school year, 140 students were without computers or connectivity. Through the dedicated work of the administration, today there are only 14 students without a reliable WiFi connection.

CPS arranged for free WiFi for a large number of families but these families were unable to take advantage of the program. Low cost WiFi is available from multiple providers for ten dollars a month.

The new quarter starts on November 9th. We would be grateful if all of the students in our wonderful arts school could all begin with the access to learning they so desire.  A donation of $10 will open a world of learning for a family for one month.
