Hello my name is Lynette Thomas-

Darbone, the wife of Andre Darbone. We

have been together over 12 years and

married 10. Andre was diagnosed with a

kidney disease when we first started

dating. At no part in our relationship even

when it got rough when he was constantly

sick that I thought to leave his side. I immediately picked up a second full time job to help my boyfriend at the time to make sure we didn’t go without anything. Ten years later his disease finally went into

remission. We were all excited bc we were

ready for Andre to enjoy a healthy life, not

realizing that the nephrologist was getting

ready to tell us he was needing a kidney

transplant. No doubt in my mind I

immediately said I am a match without

doing the testing that was needed. A best

friend of Andre's came forward to test

and things did not go as planned.

So finally I stepped out on faith and drove to New Orleans to make sure that I was a match. Sure enough before I could even finish any of the testing the test were all coming back normal by the grace of God. I was worried about a heart murmur showing up and it was no where in sight. I was told I was a match and I can donate a kidney. And here we are today packed up and preparing to leave for surgery. Nothing

but the good Lord has brought us this far

and blessed me to be able to donate a kidney to give my husband a second chance at life. My life would not be complete without my husband being apart of it, so my left kidney can definitely now be his. We will both be out of work for a month and in New Orleans recovering. If everyone could please keep us in prayer.
