Wife carjacking and shooting victim in need

Our dear friend, Scott Toups, was carjacked and shot in New Orleans on July 17th, 2022. More than a month later, he remains in critical condition in the ICU. The bullets that tore through his body caused severe internal damage, leaving him on a ventilator and unable to breathe on his own. While he fights for his life, his wife, Stacie, has been by his side to make difficult, life-saving decisions. Stacie must be available to the medical team at a moment’s notice. With the loss of her husband's income and her inability to go back to work, the financial burdens have begun to take a toll. Scotts’ future is uncertain, but we do know it will be a very long and challenging road to recovery. With this in mind, we would like to provide them with some short-term relief so that housing, food, and day-to-day expenses are not a concern during this overwhelming time.

The state victim fund has yet to provide any assistance to Stacie in any way since the shooting. So, we, being two of Stacies closest friends decided to do something about it since the state or whomever runs the victims fund has yet to do their duty.

For transparency purposes, we are two of Stacie Toups’ closest friends. This is not for Highland Park.
