Widowed mother of two Heather Schultz
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Jeff. I’m looking for your help to raise funds for my sister Michelle’s brother-in-law who suddenly and unexpectedly suffered a brain aneurysm on Saturday May 13 th , the day before Mother’s Day, and subsequently passed away on Tuesday, May 16th.
Kelly Schultz was rushed to the hospital the day before Mother’s Day, after suffering from cardiac arrest due to an aneurysm deep in his brain, leaving him nonresponsive to treatment and unconscious. Due to the location and nature of the aneurysm, surgery was not an option and the family was left with devastating news.
On Tuesday May 16 th , 2023 he was officially declared brain dead with no hope of recovery and living only with the support of medical equipment. His wife and parents made the difficult decision to let him go. Kelly was a supporter of organ donation and with the help of Live On Nebraska, he was able to fulfill that
dream and donate viable organs to help another person “live on.”
Kelly was 42 years old and leaves behind his wife of 2 ½ years, Heather, and two boys Anthony(17) and Brody(14) from his previous marriage. Anthony just finished his junior year and will be a senior in high school next year and Brody will begin his freshmen year of high school this next fall. Kelly was a blue-collar worker his entire life. From his time at Valmont as a CNC worker making irrigation equipment, working as an equipment repair technician for soda machines; to installing guard rails and fences on the sides of highways and finally finding his
niche with Vanguard Utility Partners locating service, receiving a promotion to a supervisory position just two weeks before his passing. He was born and raised in the Omaha, NE area and lived not far from parents and brothers. He was a father, a husband, a son, a brother and a good man to all people. He cared deeply for his two boys and it was important to him that they have a good, stable environment.
The sudden and untimely passing of this husband and father has left the family in an unexpected financial situation, losing a substantial portion of the family income and leaving his widow to cover remaining medical expenses, costs of rent for their two-bedroom apartment, previous bills and other living expenses. Kelly did not have any independent life insurance; therefore, all costs will fall on the family.
I want to help raise funds for the medical expenses, memorial service expenses for this dedicated father and husband, and help support living expenses for the family as they adjust to the passing of their husband and father. Please join me in supporting this family to help them overcome the financial burden they have suddenly been thrust into. To help them as they develop a new normal and re-establish the sense of stability that they once knew. Anything you can contribute is much appreciated.
