Widowed & have to buy out my son to own my house
Donation protected
My name is Tammy and my husband, Matt, passed away in 2020. I'm disabled and hopeful to receive disabled widow benefits in the future. In the mean time, I'm just trying to survive and get by. I own a house on an acre and decided to try and divide off a parcel to sell so I would have money to live on. Instead, it was discovered that our deed was not filled out properly with "full rights to survivor" as we had requested when we bought it. This means that our 3 adult children each own an interest/share of my house & land. I can't do anything with it unless all 3 sign off the deed. My 2 youngest are more than willing to sign off. However, my oldest son disowned us all over 6 years ago and we've been unable to communicate with him in all this time. He has sought legal counsel and states he will only sign off the deed if I pay him "his share" of my house which they calculated to be $16,400. I will also have to pay attorney fees & all closing costs including deed stamps & county registration which will run over $600. If I can raise the money, I would like to get this cleared as quickly as possible so that I can move forward with trying to find a way to support myself. God has been carrying me through these last 2 years and even though I continue to feel defeated & heartbroken, I know He loves me. Please help me if you can and please pray for me & my children as this affects all of us. Most especially pray for salvation for my oldest. Thank you
