Hope Thomas hoping to cheer in USA Cheerleading Competition
Donation protected
My name is Cassie and I have two beautiful daughters who I love and cherish, and one has recently won the opportunity to compete in a cheerleading competition in Florida, USA. As a widow and childcare educator I cannot afford to send her, and I am hoping to raise the required funds to help her support her dream.
Who I Am - Cassie Thomas
- My name is Cassie, I am a widow, have two beautiful daughters, and I have worked in childcare for over 15 years and love every part of my job
- My husband sadly lost his battle with cancer in 2015
- I love my daughters and want to help them achieve their goals in life
My Daughter - Hope Thomas
- My daughter, Hope, took up cheerleading in 2015 when her father passed. This was her outlet to pass the grief
- When she first started, she can not event summersault but has continued to develop and excel, training 3-5 days a week, year round and including school holidays
- Her cheerleading team, Aussie Gems Cheerleading, have won the opportunity to compete at The Summit Championship 2025 in Florida, USA in May 2025
- Despite a number of injuries over the last 12 months, requiring a treatment from some lovely clinical specialists, which has come at a significant cost to myself, Hope has been able to push herself through these challenges and recover in time to compete
Need For Donation
- As a widow, working in childcare, supporting two daughters and having incurred costs from clinical specialists I cannot pay for my daughter to compete in the USA
- I am looking to raise $12,000 which will cover her flights, accommodation, food, cheerleading uniforms and equipment (e.g. shoes, training clothes) and the additional training and competitions required between now and the competition in May
- Any donation large or small would be forever appreciated
