Hallo mein Name ist Sarah ich bin 60 Jahre alt,

ich kam im Mai 2022 nach Deutschland, um aufgrund von Probleme in meinem häuslichen Umfeld zu entkommen in Deutschland Asyl zu beantragen. Eine Rückkehr in meine Heimat Thika in Kenia ist nicht mehr möglich, da ich aufgrund von Morddrohungen gezwungen war, Kenia zu verlassen und Asyl zu beantragen.

Im Dezember 2023, als ich bereits in Deutschland war, eskalierten die Probleme in meinem häuslichen Umfeld so sehr, dass unser Haus, in dem meine alleinstehende Tochter mit ihren beiden Kindern lebte, durch Brandstiftung nieder gebrannt wurde.

Seit 2022 bin ich im deutschen Asylsystem und versuche,

eine Aufenthaltsgenehmigung zu erhalten, die es mir ermöglicht, hier zu arbeiten, um Geld für meinen eigenen Lebensunterhalt zu verdienen und meine Kinder und Enkelkinder zu Hause in Kenia zu unterstützen.

Das Asylsystem in Deutschland ist kompliziert und von Diskriminierung geprägt. Jeden Tag bin ich mit Hindernissen konfrontiert, die mich daran hindern, ein gesundes Leben zu führen, wie zum Beispiel meinem immer noch laufenden Asylantrag, ausbleibende Zahlungen, die Bezahlkarte, das Verbot zu arbeiten, die Nichtanerkennung meiner Zeugnisse als Krankenpflegerin und Hebamme und die Nichtanerkennung meines Asygundes der häuslichen Gefahr.

Eine Möglichkeit, die mir und meinen Kindern momentan offen steht, um ein stabiles Leben zu führen, ist,

weit weg von meiner alten Heimat ein Haus zu bauen und dort ein neues Leben zu beginnen, geschützt durch Anonymität.

Ich habe ein Grundstück in einem Dorf in Kenia, in der Region Nord-Kinangop und möchte dort unser Haus wieder aufbauen.

Das Ziel, ein Haus zu bauen, ist noch in weiter Ferne, aber mit 5.000 Euro oder 750.000 kenianischen Schilling wäre es möglich.

Natürlich ist es ein großes Ziel, 5.000 € aufzubringen, aber selbst wenn nur ein Teil dieses Betrags zusammenkommt, können meine Familie und ich einen Neuanfang wagen.

Wenn wir 3000€ zusammen bekommen haben durch Eure Spenden, können wir schon einmal berichten wie die nächsten Schritte aussehen werden.

Reconstruction of our burned-down house in Kenia

Hello I´m Sarah (60 years),

I came to Germany in May 2022 to seek asylum due to domestic problems at home. Returning to my home in Thika, Kenya, is no longer possible due to the threats to my life that forced me to leave Kenya and seek asylum.

In December 2023, while I was already in Germany, the problems at home escalated to such an extent that my house, where my single daughter lived with her two children, burned down as a result of arson.

Since 2022, I have been in the asylum system in Germany and am trying to obtain a residence permit that will allow me to work here in order to earn money for my own living expenses and to support my children and grandchildren in Kenya.

The asylum system in Germany is complicated and marked by discrimination. Every day, I face obstacles that prevent me from living a healthy life, such as paperwork, missing payments, the "Bezahlkarte"/Paymentcard, not being allowed to work, the lack of recognition of certificates as a nuse and midwife, and my asylum claim not being recognized.

One option currently available for me and my children to get stability in life, is to build a house far away from my old home and start a new life there, protected by anonymity.

For that I have got a piece of land in a village in Kenya in the region of north Kinangop and I would like to rebuild our house there.

The goal of building a house is still a long way off, but with 5,000€ or 750,000 Kenyan shillings, it would be possible.

Of course, raising 5,000€ is a big goal, but even if only part of that amount can be raised, it will still be possible for me and my family to make a fresh start.

Once we have raised €3,000 through your donations, we will be able to report on what the next steps will be.
