Hi Everyone!
First of all, thanks for stopping by! Even if you are just here to read whats happening, i'm happy about that.

I'm Mike and i always loved photography. Since i got my first camera, i was hooked on taking action-shots, mostly from downhill mountainbiking. This was my jam! Riding down the steepest hills, making friends and framing them with my trusty old camera. I was pretty good at the time, so i was forced to lay down my camera and pick up the bike more often. Looking back, it was a pretty awesome time.

Now things have changed a bit. Traveling through europe and canada, once the USA even, i started to grab hold of my camera way more. I still had pretty much all of my gear, started to get interessted in landscape photography and stayed awake for hours, learning every little trick there is. As with many things, it was a pretty long process, getting satisfied with my own work. Looking back though, i think i got some pretty ones.

Now, you have to understand, i never did this professionally. I never did photography for money. I always wanted to share what i see, wherever i am, so people might feel the same lookin' at it. Travellling the world and sharing some moments, that was it!

Somehow, life changes every now and then, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. Over the last two years, i somehow got into a rut, never managed to get out of it again completely. Maybe it was the whole corona situation, maybe it was getting to comfortable with what i had. Truth is, i want some major changes in my life. I want to get out and explore, i want to share photos with the people following me, i want to make friends and to be a part of this amazing community called photographers and travellers. To change though... Not easy to do, when there is a whole lot going wrong at the same time. From passing familiy members to some problems on the money-front, i feel trapped, can't really figure out how to do stuff properly and spring back into being someone that gives energy instead of taking.

So i had to come up with a plan. I want to spend more time taking photos, editing them, sharing them, talking to people that like my work, just grow as a person in general. My plan involves home-office from "not actually home". I plan to work as much as i can, ambition is always there. Sometimes, i'll hop in my old volvo, drive some hours to a neat place, work from there (as much on a budget as possible, i love camping in my volvo!) and taking photos of what makes me feel "at home", like a lake on a mountaintop or something.

Part of this plan is my photo equipment. Please excuse me for gettin' nerdy, skip this part if you like. I got a Canon EOS R6. I had to buy that one because my 6D broke and i really needed a full-frame sensor, compatible with my lenses, capable of filming. And oh wow, it's an amazing camera! Further, i had a Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 and the Sigma 24-70 f/2.8. These lenses were perfect for me!

Having pretty good gear, i really lacked some really wide angle lens. For some months, even more than a year, i wanted to save up for the Sigma 12-24 F/4.0, since landscapes are my target. For anyone not knowing, this is a very wide angled lens, where the field of view is big. Sadly, my other lens, the 24-70mm one broke a few weeks back and i'm struggling to get something alike. That's why i sat down and thought about what i really need to show the landscapes, i want to show. The broken lens was probably my most used one, since i could take portrait photos, sport photos and landscapes.

As sad as it may sound, this broken lens had me pushed right back into the hole i was in before. This is why i wanted to ask all of you people, if you would like to help me reach the goal of taking landscape photos again with supporting me on the journey to buying this Sigma 12-24 f/4.0 lens. It would mean the world to me.

I have to admit, i really don't like asking for something like this. Going over the books, i had to admit to myself, that my low has had a big impact on what i can afford and also how i spend time. That's why came to the conclusion, that asking for help where everyone is allowed to choose if he/she likes to donate might be the thing that solves that.

Further, i wanted to share some plattforms on where you find my work, in case you just found interesst in talking to me or seeing the world through my eyes. This is where i post my work mainly. In the future, i'll create a website, but this is a project for next year.

And so that you know who i am, here a picture i took a few weeks back:
