Marathon in Memory of David O'Regan for Wicklow Rapid Response

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I am honoured to share that I will be running a marathon in memory of David O'Regan, to raise funds for an important organization that provides life saving emergency services.

In memory of an exceptional man David O'Regan who sadly passed away in 2022, 25 of his friends and family will be taking part in the Cork City Marathon/Half Marathon on June 2nd 2024.

Originally from Cork, David settled in Greystones where he selflessly volunteered his time to all aspects of local activities in particular the underage camogie section where he was a dedicated, inspirational and a much loved trainer. He is remembered with love by his family and the wide circle of friends and communities in which he was involved.

Combining running with the desire to raise money for this charity, I am reaching out to you for support on this journey.

I'm raising money in aid of Wicklow Rapid Response and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that saves lives.

Why Wicklow Rapid Response?

Wicklow Rapid Response is a vital voluntary charity working in partnership with and supporting the existing Emergency Services. They provide a pre-hospital CRITICAL CARE service to community members who are seriously ill, injured, or in remote areas, ensuring that they receive care within the Golden Hour. The Rapid Response Vehicle and volunteer Doctor are declared National Ambulance Service assets and are called simultaneously with state emergency services. Their rapid intervention and dedicated service often mean the difference between life and death for those facing serious medical emergencies.

My Goal:

Running a marathon is a significant challenge, but so is raising the essential funds needed to support Wicklow Rapid Response. My goal is to raise €500 to aid their lifesaving operations, including the purchase of medical equipment, training programs, and resources necessary for their critical work.
