I am asking for help for my sister, who was diagnosed with a large brain tumor in March of 2019. Thankfully the tumor was benign and removed successfully. However, my sister and her family now face increasing financial instability. She unexpectedly lost her job around the same time she was diagnosed with the brain tumor. Prior to this event, she had been the primary income provider for her family. Her husband is retired military and draws a modest income from that. Along with the loss of her job and income, she also lost all health and life insurance for herself and her family. Due to the drastically reduced income and mounting medical/household bills, my sister’s family is facing losing their home. She is currently drawing short term unemployment; however, her full recovery may take up to a year, thus preventing her from accepting job offers in her field.
While all of my sister’s energy and focus should be on her recovery, she now has to deal with the additional stress of unemployment and losing her home. Although her family’s lives are full of uncertainty due to these recent events, with your help, I’m certain that my sister will be able to get her life back on track and keep her home. Your donation, regardless of the amount, will reassure my sister and her family that she is surrounded by a community who loves and supports her through these difficult times.
