When my husband Jerome was created, a blueprint for kindness was instilled in his heart. He is not only the best gift I ever received, but he is also a gift to many others. Jerome is one of those people that you will rarely hear no from. If you need help in any way the answer 99% of the time is yes. If you need prayer, need to move, need advice, need a shoulder to cry on, need a TV mounted, need to troubleshoot your computer, need someone to speak to your kid, need a little cash to hold you over, …I could go on, but you get the point. Jerome is a certified orientation and mobility specialist (COMS). He recently left his job as a teacher and started his own company to help the blind and visually impaired community. His mission is to help his community regain and develop their independence. Jerome is by far the most sacrificing individual that I know. Jerome has a visual impairment called Stargardts, this impairment affects his day-to-day life in many ways, and one of those ways is his ability to drive safely. As of late he is sacrificing his safety in driving a truck that doesn’t quite have the safety technology that he needs to continue to be that superb helper. He has had some near misses with car crashes. He is essentially giving his all but with one hand tied behind his back. Even with a visual impairment there is no way that he’s going to stop doing what he loves. His love is helping anyone and everyone that he can, especially the blind and visually impaired community. Now, your help is desperately needed to keep this everyday superhero going.
Jerome would benefit considerably from having a Tesla Model Y. Tesla is doing more than providing their consumers with basic safety features, the car itself literally becomes your co-pilot. The car is like having a guardian angel. The ModelY has amazing features like, automatic emergency breaking, lane departure warning, forward and side collision warning, obstacle aware acceleration, blind spot warnings, a “hey are you watching warning”, on and on, basically this car checks on you more than your Mom. Tesla has the features that will keep our modern-day superhero safe and allow him to continue to be that beacon of hope for so many. Understand that whatever amount that you can donate, that it is needed and greatly appreciated. Help us untie that arm from behind his back, because if he’s doing all this with an obstacle, just imagine what he can do with an asset like the Tesla ModelY.
Additionally, Jerome would love to have a meeting with Elon Musk and his team to discuss how their cars can extend and enable the driving abilities of the visually impaired community.
Please consider helping Jerome continue to serve his community by:
Making a financial contribution to the GoFundMe account: WhyModelY
Share this message via any and all social media platforms and email. Please be sure to include @ElonMusk when doing so. Doing this will enable Jerome to purchase the Tesla Model Y and get the attention of Tesla to share potential ideas on how their cars can serve this community.
Thanks in advance for your help and support.
Sincerely,
Melba Hale
