A charity fundraiser organised recently at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) aimed to raise funds to purchase power generators for the Ukrainian people. Following that, CSS has made a commitment to fund the purchase of four generators to be sent directly, over the coming months, to the War Victims Hospital in Drohobych, in this war-torn country. We have been liaising with Doctor Monika McNeill, one of the CGU charity event organisers. We wholeheartedly support the efforts to assist the Ukrainian people at this time.
The charity we are working with in Ukraine is The Caritas Charitable Foundation of Sambir – Drohobych Eparchy (registration number 26268852). Caritas Foundation is a genuine, international charity established decades ago that supports people experiencing humanitarian crises worldwide. All the funds donated for this cause to the Ukrainian branch of Caritas Foundation are utilised to help equip the hospital in Drohobych.
Our appeal today; If the broader valued customer base of our collective Connelly businesses would like to also help by donating, please do so directly. Follow the “Donate” link and, if possible, share with as many others who would like to support us.
Your financial support, no matter what it is, would be greatly appreciated by the people in need and the support workers on the ground in Ukraine. As we head into winter, it is urgent to get help to them as quickly as possible, considering the daily power blackouts Ukraine currently experiences because of the escalated Russian attacks on the Ukrainian infrastructure.
The attached video is a personal message from myself. There is also a video by the charity, and the hospital director Igor Kozankevych, which illustrates what they are dealing with and how much they count on us.
Thank you on behalf of the Ukraine people.
Yours Sincerely, Paul Connelly
