Why does every thing come in 3? Vet bills plus Funeral fees

Hi, my names Josh and asking for help is not easy for me to do... always willing to help out others, I can rarely swallow my pride admit I just can't do it alone... and need help.

The past 5 days have been one for the record books, Saturday I lost my father unexpectedly, thank you to all those who took the time to share kind words of condolences and support on my Facebook and to the ones who've reached out and called... sorry I've ignored most of the calls I just have no words atm.

Monday, if things couldn't get any worse Oscar loss use of his hind legs, I could tell something was wrong mid day but it was Family Day and everything was closed. Early, early Tuesday morning when he had gone to the bathroom while lying beside without even knowing it I knew it was serious.

Tuesday would be spent rushing into his vet for an emergency appointment and being sent to the Emergency Pet Hospital in Scarborough. We were given prescribed medication and sent home to return first thing the next morning for CT scans.

Wednesday, wake up late, with no voice and my throat is now on fire... great I'm now full on sick!! Rush out the door and manage to get Oscar back to the hospital with seconds to spare before his appointment time.

He's home now and although is showing early stages of IVDD is expected to make a full recovery with a months of relaxation and medication therapy. I still feel like death and if it weren't for pet insurance would be $4300 in the hole instead of only $1,628.76.

Furthermore I am just discovering that $1500 is my share of the funeral expenses for my dad... I just maxed out my credit card for my dog and have no idea where I'm going to pull this additional money from.

A friend and neighbour of mine suggested I put out a GoFundMe page which I initially declined as I would "figure it out" but that was prior to learning there was funeral costs being spilt between the siblings.

So I swallow my pride and ask for any generosity you can spare that might help make this past week not the triple blow to the heart that it already is.
