I’m not the type to ever ask for help, but I really can use some now. As many of you know, I’ve been out of work due to my neck surgery and can’t return until December. I have not yet begun to receive disability. On top of all this, on Friday, my fur love Finn had to be rushed to the ER for a blockage in his urethra. The bill was $3,500 for a 36-hour stay to stabilize him. They told me the chances of a reoccurrence were about 50%. I got him home Sunday afternoon. We had to buy him prescription food, which was close to $100 for the month. Sadly, he stopped going to the bathroom through Tuesday, and at 2:00 am, I had him back at the ER. The deposit was $2,100 and surgery is likely at the additional cost of almost $5,000. Everything I had saved for my time out of work to pay bills is already gone. All my credit cards are now maxed out, and I don’t even know how I’m paying the balance from this stay when I pick him up tomorrow. Without surgery, he will have to be put down. He’s only 3. He’s the most loving boy and so full of life. I haven’t slept well since this started. I cry because he’s uncomfortable and at the thought of losing him. If it were for me, I’d never ask, but for my kids, human and fur, I’ll swallow my pride and ask if there’s anything at all anyone reading this can do, I’d appreciate it greatly. And please share. I simply don’t know what else to do to save the life of my sweet boy.
