Who Says Inner City Students Can’t Travel Abroad

Hello. My name is Dr. Susan Roebuck and I am the Cleveland, Ohio John F. Kennedy High School head school counselor and travel club advisor. We have been planning for an Education First tour to Greece scheduled for March 2024 since last school year. We did not receive the McKenzie Scott Get More Opportunity Grant from our school district. We have 10 families and chaperones who invested in passports, enrollment fees, and payment plans. Our school district administrators are attempting to cancel the trip primarily because of funding. If we can raise the money within 40 days, that would be a blessing for seniors and other students to experience education abroad who may never have the opportunity in the future. Please find it in your hearts to help send our students to Greece!!
