"Where Nature Greets Remembrance"
My name is Mike Colton and over the last 23 years I have created the Allied Special Forces Memorial Grove at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. We started off with just a field and now this has developed into a lovely place of Remembrance, Commemoration, Education and Quiet Contemplation in Harmony with Nature. The Grove is situated beside the River Tame and a Quarry Lake. Its size is about 3 acres and every tree, plant, structure and many memorials have been funded privately by myself and our very small team of volunteers. We now wish to further improve all the planting with many more different species of plants and trees in order to eventually leave a lasting legacy that will be appreciated by visitors and wildlife. All donations to Who Plants Wins go directly into maintaining and improving all the memorials and gardens in the Grove. Much more information is available on our website alliedspecialforcesmemorialgrove.org
