Help Fund Who Owns the Metronome: A Documentary Film

Help Andrew Downer and TLLY Visuals fund their production of an original documentary film exploring the rich history and future of Black music in Huntsville, Alabama.

This film will feature award-winning artists, Huntsville historians, and rising artists who have helped shape the city’s musical legacy and who are actively building the future today.

Through their stories, we challenge audiences to stop looking elsewhere for greatness and start recognizing — and claiming — the greatness that already exists exactly where they are. At its core, this project is about ownership — of voice, culture, and legacy.

The film is scheduled for release in June 2026 in celebration of Juneteenth. We deeply appreciate any donation given. Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward production costs and help bring this important story to life.
