Who Knew A Drink Could Cost So Much: Ally and Jess's Story
Donation protected
It was August 23rd- Mercury was in retrograde and we were on the cusp of Leo and Virgo. The night was just getting started, and a bunch of us M1s walked into M*etball excited for a night of bonding and dancing ahead. Things were going well- Sabrina Carpenter was playing, Brooke and I made plans to go to Alex Cooper's bday party the following day, and the vibes were high when suddenly, things took a turn for the worse. An elevated surface opened up, and naturally, the girls wanted to dance on it. The bouncers, who had been extremely aggressive all night, did not support this fun and quite common move, and rather than things being elevated on a surface, they were escalated out of the bar. We were all forcefully and physically pushed out, with no time to put our beverages down before leaving. Unfortunately, law enforcement was right outside the door at this time, and they flagged down me and Ally for still having our beverages (rip being tall and visible). Despite telling them what happened and throwing away the cans, the officers still cited us for open containers. The only advice they had to offer was "There's a better bar down the street... try that one." (actually would recommend Daisy's when it's busy it was country-fun)
In the aftermath, Ally and I found a lawyer who is helping us with this ordeal and pleading "Your Honor, There was an Elevated Surface" for us. However, his fees were $600 each, and not even MJ can help us with that one. Anything helps so much, and if the charges get dropped we will share some of the proceeds for a celebration!
Much thanks and love and in the words of Clara, "I never want to go back to pragoochie"
