Have you ever had to live with extreme uncertainty? Waiting for a result that leads to another wait, another result, another wait, all while being left in the dark about what it all truly means?
My name is Ryan Cannon and I'm organizing this fundraiser for my girlfriend, Whitney. On May 18th, after many office visits, phone calls, biopsy, and imaging scans, Whitney was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma with metastasis to her lymph nodes. Breast cancer at 28 years old. Results are consistent with a stage 3 diagnosis.
Whitney's treatment is expected to be extensive. Pre-surgery chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, reconstructive surgery, and ongoing targeted therapy for years are all recommended.
Whitney is far too stubborn to ask for help. She has been dealing with the financial stress in addition to every other emotion you could imagine. Funds raised will be used to offset high deductible cost of insurance, medical costs not covered by insurance, as some of the scans ordered have been denied by insurance claims, and any additional expenses so she can focus her energy on healing.
If you find it in your heart, please consider a donation of any size. If you are unable to, we certainly understand and appreciate you anyway. Even just sharing the campaign link will go a long way in helping Whitney fight this horrible disease.
We both appreciate your support more than you could know.
