On the night of Saturday, April 25th, our dear friend Whitney O'Neil was attacked. She was brutally assulted by someone she barely knew and had never provoked. She was knocked unconscious by the first surprise punch and was continually beaten until two men pulled her attacker off. Charges have been filed, but legal fees are crazy and we all know the story of how "money wins", which is the threat that the attacker has made. 
Whitney is an up and coming Texas Country singer/songwriter and this incident could threaten her entire career.  She is working on her album to be released this summer and her first single "Room 33" was released Sunday night. Most of us have been blessed with getting to see her perform at many bars across the metroplex, such as Zen, Love& War, and Scruffy Duffies. Two nights after her attack, she still came out and gave a heart-warming performance to show all of her fans that evil does not win and that she is there for each and every person who supports her. Even with a broken nose, deviated septum, two black and swollen eyes, stitches in her face, loose and broken teeth, a concussion and 6 contusions on her brain, it did not stop her from doing what she loves and what we all love her for: writing and playing music that touches people. 
We are starting this account and taking donations to help her with lawyer fees, hospital bills, medical expenses, and money to keep working on her music. She will be needing several surgeries after this vicious attack. Any amount helps!
