Whitney's Home

This is our very first Go Fund Me campaign and while this is a very difficult time for many of us; if you are able, we humbly ask for your support for our daughter’s dear friend, Whitney.  When our daughter reached out to us the other day for guidance we wanted to return Whitney’s years of friendship with a helping hand.

Whitney is a 23 year old transgender woman from New Jersey who has been living in an unsafe and unstable environment.  Unfortunately her family has had a difficult time accepting her transition and during a frightening confrontation she had to abruptly leave her home with nothing but the clothes on her back.  Currently she is staying with my daughter in New York City and working on finding the proper resources that will guide her with finding a full time job and permanent place to live.

Part of her immediate goal is to connect with the LGBQT+ community so she can receive information regarding resources such as LGBQT+ support groups, mental health programs, HRT sessions and affordable housing options. Our goal with this campaign is to provide Whitney the opportunity to afford a safe and secure place to live for the next year as she continues transitioning and establishing her new supportive network and community.
