Whitney & Rob's Family Fund

If you are seeing this gofundme, you likely already know Whitney and Rob. If you don't, this is the story of one of the strongest people I know, and the cutest couple.

Whitney is now battling cancer for her second time, in her short 33 years on this earth. Whitney are Rob are super proud parents to Kason, but with this new diagnosis, and treatment, the chance of successfully having another baby on their own is much lower. They know in their heart that they were meant to be a family of 4, and we need to help them get there.

In 2007 Whitney had pain swallowing, after a few visits to a walk in, and rounds of antibiotics, she saw her family Dr.  She had an urgent ultrasound, followed by a biopsy, followed by a total thyroidectomy all done in a month.

She thought all was good. She went on living her life.

In 2013 Whitney and Rob met. They felt as tho they had known each other their whole lives after the first day.  It truly was meant to be. After 4 months Rob moved in!

In April 2015 the next biggest shock came when Whitney lost her Dad. He was her rock, and this was a devastating loss for her.

In March 2017 Kason was born. Whitney and Rob were so blessed with this boy who was named for her Dad. He is literally their world! As time went on they knew that Kason needed to be a big brother to more than just their furbaby.

In February 2019 they found out we were pregnant with baby #2. Whitney went out and purchased a big brother t-shirt for Kason and wrapped the positive test in it for Rob to open. They were beyond excited...everything they wanted was finally coming true.... Their perfect little family...

March 2019. They were at the Woodland Park Zoo for a weekend away celebrating Kason's 2nd birthday, when Whitney felt a bit off. The next day when they got home, she called her GP...shortly after some testing it was confirmed they had miscarried. That testing also confirmed that her cancer was back...12 years later, it was back.

May 2019 Whitney had a revision of her thyroidectomy. They removed a larger tumor along with 6 lymph nodes that looked suspicious... 5 of the 6 were cancerous. After recovering, more appointments and endless testing, she under went her first round of high dose RAI. It was ROUGH...she had to spend a week away from her family, from her baby. The next scan still showed activity in her neck and liver. Her thyroglobulin levels were still increasing, so the decision was made for another round of RAI in March 2020. This round was even worse...She spent the first 4 days sleeping. Everything hurt. Everything tasted like metal. Her next scan still showed activity, but this time on the left side of her neck... but her liver also showed activity again.

Her last appointment with the oncologist was the hardest...she asked all of the questions she needed answers to,  but of course they weren't the answers she wanted...

Their dream of a larger family was drifting further away...each round of treatment effects her fertility more. She found herself in the darkest place she'd ever been in... Whitney and Rob were now regretting the decision of not going through the egg harvesting/freezing process previously. So now they wait... They wait for more treatments. They wait for more answers. They wait for answers regarding fertility treatments. They wait for the family they dream of. They wait...They wait for a cure.

Whitney and Rob have decided to go ahead with the process of harvesting and freezing eggs, which will then result in needing IVF to get pregnant in the future. The total cost of this is unknown at this point.

Any help towards their dreams would be so appreciated. These two have so  more love to give!!
