Whiting Pride Needs You: Fund Our 2nd Annual Whiting Pride

We at Whiting Pride Corp are looking for help from our Whiting, NWI, and region community to fund the 2nd Annual Whiting Pride. Last year, with about a month's notice, we were able to fund Whiting, IN's very first LGBTQ+ Pride event, all because of the generous support from our friends, families, and neighbors.

Whiting Pride 2025 will be Saturday June 21, 2025 from 3-7 PM. With so many voices in national politics and media (unfortunately, many of them from Indiana) loudly opposing diversity, equity, and inclusion, we aim to be even LOUDER in creating a fun, safe, and inclusive celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies.

The beauty of Whiting Pride is our foundation in grassroots activism! From folks showing up at Whiting City Council meetings, courageously speaking to the council in support of the LGBTQ+ community, and donating what money they could, we were able to host a celebration for over 500 attendees.

As of April 2025, Whiting Pride Corp is recognized by the state of Indiana as a domestic nonprofit corporation (woohoo!). We aim to remain a grassroots movement, and to do so, we need you! Pride's origins are by the people, for the people. It is as important as ever to show up for one another and celebrate boldly to communicate that despite the hate in our state and nation's legislatures, our community will continue to support equal rights for the LGBTQ+ community.
