Whithorn Way Lenten Journey

As part of our Lenten journey, we (Jaimie, Clare, Liam and Marie) are undertaking the gruelling challenge of completing the ‘Whithorn Way’ Pilgrimage which is a 149 mile walk from Glasgow to the town of Whithorn in Dumfries. To make it harder we are going to complete this challenge by the end of Lent while continuing to work fulltime at school!

We plan to walk in memory of our colleague from St John’s Primary, Miss Joanne McCauley, who sadly lost her battle with cancer in November 21.

The money raised will be shared between the SCIAF emergency appeal for Ukraine, Missio Scotland, The Ayrshire Hospice and the ‘Friends of the Altnagelvin’ (Ward 50) Altnagelvin hospital in Derry, who cared for Joanne in her final weeks.
