Trail Groomer Fundraiser

Donation protected
Grooming is essential to maintaining safe trails for snowmobilers of all ages.  The Whiteswan Snowhawks need your help with fundraising in order to buy a groomer and keep our trails maintained to support safe winter activity and local tourism.

To date, the grooming has been contracted.  Unfortunately, our contractor is retiring from the grooming business.  The Club has been offered the opportunity to buy the groomer and we need help from the public to make this happen.

The Whiteswan Snowhawks Snowmobile Club (Club #232) is a non-profit group comprised of volunteers who donate endless hours to support and maintain snowmobile trails surrounding Whiteswan Lake, Saskatchewan.

There are a total of 187 kms of club trails assigned to the Whiteswan Snowhawks Snowmobile Club.  The 232 trails not only provide access to Whiteswan Lake, Piperell Lake and East Trout Lake, they also connect snowmobilers to Narrow Hills Provincial Park, Little Bear Lake, Candle Lake, Christopher and Emma Lakes and beyond!  We are proud that our TC 232A trail is part of the Trans Canadian Snowmobile Trail, North America’s first coast-to-coast recreational trail.

Snowmobiling is an activity for all ages and is important for tourism and the local economy.  Snowmobilers purchase snowmobiles, trailers, gear, food, gas, accommodations, parts, souvenirs, etc in communities that are in and around the trail system.  Whether it’s a family ride for a wiener roast at a warm-up shack or an all-day adventure with friends, trails provide access for tourism and for making memories.

According to a Statistics Canada Travel Survey of Residents of Canada in 2016, there were a total of 91,000 overnight visits involving participation in snowmobiling that related to an estimated spend of $12.2 million, related to that activity, within Saskatchewan alone.  The snowmobile industry generates approximately $8 Billion dollars a year in Canada and supports over 100,000 jobs in North America.

Please consider helping us to achieve our goal of purchasing this groomer. All donations big and small will assist us in our efforts to keep these trails useable and accessible for years to come and will help to support the industry by keeping our trails connected to a broader network of communities.
