Whiteley Primary School's Parisian Run for New IT Equipment

In celebration of the 2024 Olympics we are challenging the pupils of Whiteley Primary School to "Run to Paris!"

All pupils will be taking part in a fun run on Friday 19th July, during school hours, and collectively running 339 km. This is the distance from our school to the Eiffel Tower! Each class will run or walk (whatever they can do) to cover approximately half a kilometre per pupil - older pupils will be challenged to go further to see if we can collectively make it back to Whiteley! To add a bit of healthy competition, the class that raises the highest amount of sponsorship will earn themselves a class treat on us!

The Friends of Whiteley Primary School team help raise money throughout the year. Every penny goes back into the school so every donation that you make will help!

This year Mrs Pennington has identified a need for a new set of iPads. The long term hope is that we will raise enough to provide every classroom with 1 new iPad which can be at hand in class to use as a camera, video, sensor (in Science), and to support across the curriculum. If our fundraising exceeds this target, more iPads will be purchased (fingers crossed!). It will be amazing to see how much our pupils can raise and help their school with Mrs P's wish!

How do I make sure that my donation is linked to my child's class?

The simplest way to do this is to ensure that you state the pupil's class number i.e. Year Group and Initial's e.g. 5K
