We are Whitegate Rowing Club, based in beautiful east Cork.  We have been rowing out of our base at the Sawmills in Whitegate since 1991. We strive to foster, promote and develop coastal rowing and create a positive and encouraging environment for everyone.  Many of our members are involved annually in the PIETA HOUSE Darkness into Light fundraising event, which is now postponed. Without the funds raised by this event, all of Pieta’s services are now facing an immediate and devastating financial crisis. However, despite the restrictions placed on our country due to covid-19, we at WRC believe that 2020 should be no different and would like your support in helping fundraise for PIETA HOUSE from our homes during lockdown! Our members ask that you donate to support their efforts this Saturday 9th MAY 2020, as we indoor row, walk, run, cycle, skip and excercise for PIETA HOUSE! We’re a little Club with a big heart -let’s do this together, while staying apart. More than 80% of Pieta House funds come from the public, and they need our help to keep their lifesaving services available to those who need them most, especially during these darkest days.
